Xiaomi is preparing to relaunch one of its tablets in China. Unusually, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro received its first release globally. Debuting last September, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro arrived alongside the Xiaomi 15T series with 5G and Wi-Fi only connectivity options (curr. $263 on Amazon). Now, it seems that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will receive at least one new version to mark its Chinese debut.
Officially, Xiaomi is keeping back a few details about the Redmi Pad 2 Pro for China. However, the upcoming release closely resembles the 12.1-inch tablet that has been available in India and other markets since last autumn. As an example of that, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will reach China with a 12,000 mAh battery that supports 27 W reverse wired charging.
Additionally, the company has outlined that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will be available with a Harry Potter special edition finish. Following in the footsteps of the Redmi Pad Pro, this new Redmi Pad 2 Pro variant may well come with the case pictured in the teaser below, too. Xiaomi plans to launch the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro before the end of the month alongside the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. In the meantime, one can already reserve Xiaomi's new tablet on an official microsite.
