The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is an upper mid Android tablet that was announced in March 2025. Rumors of a successor called the Idea Tab Pro 2 first surfaced in July 2025, hinting at a larger display and a custom processor. Now, another leak has surfaced, revealing what the upcoming tablet looks like.
The source of the leak is Evan Blass, and he has shared official marketing images of the Idea Tab Pro's successor, which he refers to as the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2. The images show Lenovo has adopted a new design for the tablet.
Unlike the Idea Tab Pro (currently available for $279.99 on Amazon), which has a rectangular camera island and a dual pattern finish on the back, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 ditches the cross-hatching strip for a single smooth finish. It also replaces the rectangular camera island with a large pill-shaped one. There's still a single rear camera, but the lens is significantly larger.
The images show that the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 will have a flat frame and rounded corners. It also has four speakers grilles (two on each side), although the holes for the speakers are now double that of its predecessor. We are not sure if this is just for aesthetics or if the tablet actually has larger speakers. The tablet will have a single USB-C port on the right and a 3-point POGO pin connector for connecting to an accessory keyboard.
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 will have stylus support like its predecessor, and according to one of the images, the stylus will magnetically attach to the top of the tablet. There will also be a companion keyboard with a trackpad and a magnetic folio case. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 will be available in Gray, Silver, and Green.
Unfortunately, no technical details were provided, so it is impossible to say if the rumors about a larger display and a custom processor are true. There's also no info about its launch date and price.
