Achieving a good price-performance ratio is not easy, especially on low-cost tablets. Cost-cutting measures are often too stringent and manufacturers also need to make a profit.
This is where Teclast comes in, offering high-quality tablets with above-average features at affordable prices. One example is the Teclast T60 Pro, which we recently examined in our test lab.
What the Teclast T60 Pro offers
In our tests, the tablet impressed most with its high-quality metal casing, 12-inch IPS display and active pen input with 4,096 pressure levels – features that used to be significantly more expensive.
Thanks to LTE, mobile internet browsing is possible on the go. GPS for in-car navigation is also included. The Wi-Fi performs well enough for its class, but it won't win any speed awards.
Performance, display and mobility
The tablet is powered by a Mediatek Helio G99 processor and comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS storage, which is sufficient for everday tasks such as surfing, streaming or office apps. Performance is solid and consistent in daily use, with no significant drops in performance. However, more demanding tasks quickly become challenging.
Storage can be expanded via microSD card. While the Teclast T60 Pro's 12-inch IPS panel displays content in rather cool colors and lower brightness, it is nevertheless PWM-free.
Weaknesses become apparent in everyday multimedia use
The cameras are not a highlight, and the battery life is only average with long charging times. In addition, extras such as a fingerprint sensor and the latest security patches are lacking, which somewhat clouds our overall impression.
Our verdict on the Teclast T60 Pro
Overall, an interesting, large tablet for people on a budget. Interested readers can find out more in our detailed review.
