Lenovo has introduced two new AMD-powered laptops in China, the ThinkBook 14+ and 16+ 2026. These two are powered by the Ryzen 7 H 255, which is essentially an APU from the Hawk Point lineup and a rebadged version of the Ryzen 7 8745H.
This chipset comes with the Radeon 780M, which is still capable of handling casual gaming at the FHD resolution, but for those who might need more GPU power, there's the TGX graphics card interface. At the core, it's the same implementation as OCuLink, allowing users to build a performance-focused eGPU setup.
As for the design, the design of the two doesn't look much different than the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p G6 that's already available in the global market. Among the two, the 14+ comes with a 14.5-inch display with a resolution of 3072x1920 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness rating.
The 2026 Lenovo ThinkBook 16+ has a 16-inch display with 3200x2000 pixels resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness rating. Both of the laptops have support for Dolby Vision, are said to have 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and come with multiple eye protection features.
Other than the display, the rest of the specs for the two AMD-powered 2026 ThinkBook 16 Plus and 14 Plus are identical. Both have support for up to 8TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, and Lenovo has paired the AMD APU with 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM running at 7500MT/s. In addition to the TGX port, the laptops have the following ports:
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 2x USB4 with 140W PD (3.3-feet Ugreen 240W cable curr. $17.99 on Amazon)
- 1x Ethernet
- 1x 3.5mm audio
- 1x SD card reader
WiFi 6, MIL-STD-810H durability rating, a 90Wh battery, and support for multiple MagicBay accessories are among the other highlights of the new Lenovo ThinkBook 14+ and 16+ laptops. The former is now available to pre-order in China at CNY 5,999, around $861, while the latter goes for CNY 6,199, about $890. There's no official word on global launch and pricing yet.
