Satechi unveils foldable hub for Apple iPhone, iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro
Satechi's latest docking station with an integrated stand is designed for maximum portability. The stand folds down easily, allowing the hub to be conveniently carried in a jacket pocket or backpack. The stand holds a smartphone or tablet upright, and when used with a keyboard and mouse, compatible tablets can be used comfortably as a laptop replacement.
The USB-C cable used to connect the hub can be stored on the bottom of the device for easy transport. Once connected, the hub expands the tablet's connectivity options, including two USB-C ports, one of which can also be used to connect a power adapter. There's also a USB-A port and an HDMI port for connecting a monitor or smart TV. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is located on the right side, while an SD and a microSD card reader are on the left.
According to Satechi, the hub can charge connected devices with up to 100 watts when a sufficiently powerful power adapter is used. The hub is compatible with the Microsoft Surface Pro 9, 10 and 11, as well as numerous Apple products, including the iPhone 15 and newer, the sixth-generation iPad mini, the tenth-generation iPad, the fourth-generation iPad Air, the 2018 iPad Pro, and all newer models.
Price and availability
The Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub is now available in the US for $79.99. Details regarding an international launch are still pending, but Satechi products are typically available in Europe and other regions within a few weeks. Further specs can be found on the official product page.
