Satechi's OntheGo series includes solutions for mobile use, such as charging smartphones or expanding the capabilities of laptops. The Satechi OntheGo 7-in-1 USB-C Hub is the latest addition to the lineup. Following its initial release directly from Satechi, it is now also available on Amazon where it can be purchased for $59.99.
As suggested by its name, the Satechi OntheGo 7-in-1 USB-C Hub is a compact USB-C hub for mobile use, boasting a few unique features. One of these is its rather unusual design. The seven ports are arranged around the perimeter of the round device.
The hub features one HDMI port supporting 4K at 60 Hz and Gigabit LAN, two USB-A ports with data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps, an SD/microSD card reader for cards up to 2 TB, and one USB-C PD pass-through port with up to 100 W input and 80 W output. The 13 cm USB-C cable winds up neatly underneath, preventing tangling thanks to the integrated cable management system.
All of this is packed into a device measuring just 6.5 x 6.5 x 2.65 cm and weighing only 68 g, making it ideal for mobile use and virtually unobtrusive in terms of both size and weight. A unique feature of the Satechi OntheGo 7-in-1 USB-C Hub is its magnetic design, allowing it to attach to the back of an iPhone with MagSafe, thus expanding its functionality. The included magnetic 3M adhesive ring allows the compact hub to be attached to the back of a Windows notebook or a MacBook with MacOS, which, along with Chromebooks and iPads, are also compatible with the device.
