Marshall Bromley 450: New party speaker brings 360° sound, stage lighting, and 40+ hour battery

Marshall is adding a smaller entry to its growing party speaker lineup with the new Bromley 450, a battery-powered Bluetooth speaker that's being marketed as being great for long sessions at indoor gatherings, backyard parties, and small events. The new speaker follows the larger Bromley 750 (curr. $1,300 on Amazon) but arrives in a smaller form factor and at a lower price, starting at €649 (~$746) on March 17 through Marshall’s website, with retail availability from March 31.
The Bromley 450 has the company’s signature amplifier-style design, with brass accents, tactile control knobs, and a metal grille that also houses lighting effects. According to the press material, the lights are inspired by stage lighting from 1970s concert shows and can run in three preset modes, including ambient lighting and two music-reactive options.
Audio output relies on Marshall’s "True Stereophonic" 360-degree sound system, which distributes drivers around the cabinet so sound spreads in all directions rather than projecting forward. The internal configuration includes two 6.5-inch woofers, four 2-inch full-range drivers, and two passive radiators, powered by six Class-D amplifiers. The system supports a frequency range of 42 Hz to 20 kHz and can reach a maximum sound pressure level of about 100 dB at one meter.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast support and multipoint pairing. The speaker can also connect via AUX, RCA, or USB-C. Two combo XLR/6.3 mm inputs allow microphones or instruments to be plugged in, which means the Bromley 450 can double as a karaoke or small performance speaker.
Battery life is also one of the main selling points here. Marshall claims over 40 hours of playback on a full charge, with a 20-minute quick charge providing around six hours of use. The lithium-iron-phosphate battery is removable and shared with the larger Bromley 750, so users can swap batteries during longer events. The speaker measures 360 × 261 × 492 mm and weighs 12.2 kg. It carries an IP55 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Several speakers compete in the same price bracket as the Bromley 450. Models like the JBL PartyBox 710, JBL PartyBox 310, Sony SRS-XV800, and LG XBOOM XL7S all claim to offer party-focused audio with lighting effects and microphone inputs around the €500-€700 range. Compared with these options, the Bromley 450 is great battery-wise, though its 100 dB output means it is better suited to medium-sized gatherings rather than larger events.
