Kinera Sylvie clip‑on earphones debut with a flexible open‑ear/in‑ear design

Kinera has debuted the Sylvie ear-clip earphones that can be used in-ear or open-ear thanks to retracting acoustic nozzles. This dual‑wear design lets listeners enjoy fuller sound in quiet spaces with the in‑ear mode, or switch to open‑ear mode for better awareness on the go.
The Sylvie earphones use a 7 mm planar driver for high-frequency reproduction coupled with a 10 mm dynamic driver for mids and lows. The two drivers cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. According to the company, this allows for smooth music reproduction that can be enjoyed all day long.
Each earbud’s acoustic nozzle extends with a twist, turning the Sylvie from open‑ear to in‑ear earphones. Users then attach ear tips to the extended nozzles to use the Sylvie as in-ear earbuds.
Each splash-resistant earbud weighs just 5.8 g (0.20 oz.) and supports Bluetooth 6.0 connections with the standard SBC and AAC audio codecs. The companion smartphone app adds EQ controls and call noise-reduction settings. Users can also access the Sylvie AI assistant for chats and translations.
The Kinera Sylvie is available for an MSRP of $159 in white and champagne gold or black and purple-blue colorways.
