Shokz has taken the wraps off its OpenFit Pro, the company's first open-ear earbuds with active noise reduction. The model gets dual-diaphragm drivers, Dolby Atmos with head tracking, up to 50 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 6.1 support.

Shokz is a consumer audio brand specializing in open-ear headphones and earbuds that do not block the ear canal. The company has now announced the OpenFit Pro, its new flagship open-ear true wireless model. The OpenFit Pro is a first for Shokz, where it is combining an open-ear design with active noise reduction - a feature not present in earlier OpenFit and OpenFit 2 (curr. $180 on Amazon) models.

The OpenFit Pro has a newly developed synchronized dual-diaphragm driver system, powered by Shokz' SuperBoost technology. The design uses two large diaphragms that move in sync to improve clarity across frequencies. Shokz specifies a PMI aluminum dome for structural stability and a silicone diaphragm to reduce distortion and deliver stronger low-end response.

The earbuds are optimized for Dolby Atmos with head tracking, for spatial audio effects while keeping the ears unobstructed. Sound tuning can be adjusted through the Shokz app, which gives you five preset EQ profiles alongside two customizable options. Noise reduction is handled through a triple-microphone system combined with an ear-canal adaptive algorithm that monitors both external and in-ear noise in real time. Users can manually adjust noise reduction levels in the app, so the earbuds can shift between more immersive listening and greater environmental awareness depending on the situation.

The OpenFit Pro uses a unibody design with a flexible nickel-titanium ear hook and a soft silicone finish for long-term comfort. Each earbud weighs 12.3 grams. Battery life is rated at up to 12 hours per charge without noise reduction, or up to 6 hours with it enabled, extending to a maximum of 50 hours with the charging case. Fast charging delivers up to 4 hours of playback from a 10-minute charge, and wireless charging is also supported.

Additional features include physical waterproof buttons, automatic wear detection, multipoint Bluetooth pairing, Bluetooth 6.1 support, and an IP55 rating for water and sweat resistance.

The OpenFit Pro will be available in black and white, priced at €249 (~$292), with preorders opening on January 6, 2026.
