Lenovo officially reveals key features of upcoming gaming smartphone

Last month, Lenovo confirmed its return to the smartphone market with the all-new Legion Y70. The company’s new gaming smartphone is now all set to launch on May 19 in China. Ahead of the official launch, Lenovo has revealed the key features of the Legion Y70 smartphone.
The smartphone will compete with the likes of the RedMagic 11 Pro and iQoo 15 Ultra and features a Motorola-inspired design with a triple rear camera setup at the back. Speaking of lenses, Lenovo hasn’t spilled any beans on its camera hardware. However, what we know is that the smartphone will pack a large 8,000 mAh battery, which is said to last for over 1,200 charge cycles.
Besides, the Legion Y70 will feature a 2K resolution gaming screen that is claimed to be more efficient than 1.5K resolution panels competitors use. While there's no word on its chipset yet, the phone is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Moreover, it will feature a 5,500 mm² vapor chamber and an enhanced antenna, which is said to improve connectivity.
The teaser images further revealed that the smartphone will be available in two color options, white and black. Apart from this, Lenovo hasn’t revealed any details of the Legion Y70. More details of the latest smartphone will come to light in the coming days. For full specs and pricing and availability, we still have to wait for the official launch. Speaking of international market availability, whether or when the Legion Y70 smartphone could be officially released in the global market remains to be seen.
