Casio launches two new digital watches with classic design

Two new Casio Classic LA670WE watches have been launched in Japan. The LA670WEGS-9A and the LA670WES-7A is designed for everyday use, with a lightweight design and water resistance to withstand splashes from washing up or rain.
Casio’s LA670WEGS-9A is a gold tone watch with an ion-plated resin casing and a stainless steel band. The LA670WES-7A is silver colored, also with a resin case and metal strap. Each model measures 30.3 x 24.6 x 7.3 mm (~1.19 x 0.97 x 0.29 inches) and weighs 32 g (~1.1 oz).
The LA670 series has a smaller, rectangular digital display. The LCD is protected by mineral glass with a vapor deposition finish, allowing the screen color to match the gold or silver designs. On the display, users can view the time and date information. The calendar is automatic, and the watch is said to remain accurate to within 30 seconds each month. Other features of the LA670 watches include a 1/10th second stopwatch, an alarm and a preset timer with options including 5, 15 and 30 minutes.
In Japan, the Casio LA670WEGS-9A is available to pre-order for ¥ 8,800 (~$56). The LA670WES-7A is slightly cheaper at ¥ 6,050 (~$39). These watches are expected to be released in this country later in May 2026. Whether or when they could reach other markets like North America and Europe is unclear.
