Casio to launch new digital watches this May in Japan with 10-year battery life

Casio is officially launching its all-new W-738H series of watches this May in Japan, alongside the latest G-Shock watches. The Japanese watchmaker is introducing two models in the W-738H, namely the W-738H-1AJF and the W-738H-3AJF. Features-wise, the watch almost retains the similar specs as the W-735H but in a new square case measuring 47 x 42.8 x 13.5 mm.
Besides, both upcoming watches have been spotted in listings at a European retailer, hinting the global launch is imminent. Not only Europe but also Casio UK has both watches listed as coming soon for £45 on Casio’s official UK website. According to the reports, the watches are likely to be released in June 2026 in European as well as UK markets.
As far as the features are concerned, Casio packs plenty of features into the W-738H-1AJF and the W-738H-3AJF watches. The key features include dual time; a 1/100-second stopwatch (with elapsed time, split time, 1st and 2nd place times, and auto start), a 24-hour countdown timer, a daily alarm, an hourly time signal, and a full auto-calendar that extends up to 2099. Furthermore, it offers a 10-year battery life, 100 m (10 bar) water resistance, and a unique feature called the vibration alarm.
As for price, the Casio W-738H-1AJF and the W-738H-3AJF have a price of 7,700 yen each in Japan. Speaking of colors, you get the W-738H-1AJF with a black finish, while the W-738H-3AJF has khaki-green casing, and each has a typical light-background display. Interested buyers can now pre-order the watch via Casio Japan's official website.
