Global Xiaomi tablet with Pantone colors inches closer to launch as certification surfaces

A new Xiaomi tablet has surfaced on the FCC database with the model number "2603APC14G." While the filing doesn't mention the tablet's name, the same model number previously surfaced in Xiaomi's HyperOS codebase, where it was tagged as the Poco C Pad.
The certification with FCC ID “2AFZZPC14G” reveals key details about the upcoming tablet. For starters, the tablet is listed with 18W wired charging support and no charger included in the box. Notably, it is listed in two color options: Pantone Cool Gray and Pantone Red.
As for the release, the certification points to a broad European launch including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and additional markets. Although the specifications of the tablet are not revealed, a document included in the filing confirms the tablet is a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi Pad 2 9.7, which carries the near-identical model number "2603ARP14G."
For reference, the Redmi Pad 9.7 features an aluminum body that measures 7.4mm in thickness and weighs 406 grams. It has a 9.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,560 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet uses the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, a budget chipset based on a 6nm process. It comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Unlike the Redmi Pad 2 (curr. $176 on Amazon) with a 9,000mAh battery, the Redmi Pad 9.7 packs a 7,600mAh cell. In Malaysia, the tablet starts at MYR 549 (~$139) for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
