Apple can also be cheap... Not really cheap, buyers always have to bring a certain basic budget with them. But: The Apple iPad Air 13 M4 2026 for example, is available for around $799. And you won't find more performance anywhere else in this price range.
Brute power
The Apple iPad Air 13 (2026) is a strong competitor to Apple's own iPad Pro - and for good reason: with the new M4 processor and 12 GB of RAM, the tablet can handle even demanding applications such as image editing or video editing with ease.
A positive aspect is that Apple is offering the device at significantly lower prices in Europe: You save 100 euros in every configuration compared to its predecessor. And the prices at online retailers have fallen even more. In the US however, prices are staying the same as last year and memory upgrades remain expensive.
Good IPS display
The 13-inch Liquid Retina display impresses with high sharpness, vivid colors and good brightness, but comes without the 120 Hz ProMotion technology of the Pro models.
Battery life is solid, and the slim, high-quality aluminum casing makes the tablet attractive for both mobile use and productive work.
What bothers us about the iPad Air
We have to criticize the lack of a design update and the still limited basic storage of 128 GB, which is too little for a device in this price range in 2026. The one-year warranty is also comparatively short.
Who we recommend the iPad Air 13 to
The iPad Air 13 (2026) is a convincing, high-quality tablet that scores points for its performance and large display, but offers no revolutionary innovations.
If you don't necessarily need pro features such as ProMotion or OLED, you get a powerful device at a fair price - at least if you can manage with little memory.
