Confidential iPhone 18 Pro files leak 4 months early: Apple's first display redesign since iPhone 14 Pro

Leaked CAD renders of the alleged iPhone 18 Pro have surfaced, and they seem to almost certainly confirm that Apple's upcoming Pro flagships are getting a smaller Dynamic Island cutout.
While previously leaked design models and even a hands-on photo of an alleged iPhone 18 Pro prototype showed a smaller Face ID and selfie camera cutout, the latest leaked renders suggest we might be looking at a roughly 35% smaller display hole.
Well, the truth seems to lie somewhere between the 25% and 35% mark. Based on the confidential images, the Dynamic Island on the 18 Pro looks noticeably smaller than that of the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro.

Multiple leaks confirm iPhone 18 Pro is getting a first (front) redesign since iPhone 14 Pro; Apple a step closer to the "all-screen" iPhone 20/XX dream
Although this cutout is far from tiny (compared to Android phones), it represents a decent upgrade and a significant step towards Apple's ultimate goal of an "all-screen" iPhone - a design evolution expected to culminate in the 20th-anniversary iPhone 20 (XX), which is rumored for release next year.
While the "all-screen" iPhone is far away, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to officially debut in September 2026. Beyond the shrunken "island", internal upgrades are expected to include the industry-first 2nm A20 Pro chip, a variable aperture 48MP primary camera, and (you bet) more Apple Intelligence features, powered by Google’s Gemini.
