Apple iPhone 18 Pro will get four exciting AI features, according to code leak

It comes as no surprise that Apple is developing new AI features for the iPhone. MacRumors has now found evidence on Apple's servers of four specific new features that are to be released as part of iOS 27. It is not yet known whether these features will be available exclusively on the iPhone 18 Pro (Max) or also on older models such as the iPhone 17 Pro ($1,249 on Amazon).
Apple is said to add two new "Visual Intelligence" features to the camera. On the one hand, it should be possible in iOS 27 to hold business cards or phone numbers in front of the camera and create a new contact directly from them. On the other hand, it should be possible to scan the label of a food product and obtain further information on the nutritional values and possibly use this for nutritional tracking in the Apple Health app.
The Wallet app is to be given a feature that allows event tickets or membership cards, for example, to be scanned with the camera and a digital copy added to the Wallet. As events often only require a barcode or QR code to get through the entrance control, this should also work with tickets from platforms without Apple Wallet support. Finally, Apple's Safari web browser will be given the option of automatically naming tab groups. More details on the new features of iOS 27 should be announced at WWDC in June, before iOS 27 is expected to be released in September or October 2026.
