Casio releases new affordable watches with extra-long strap in more countries

The Casio AE-1600HX-3AV watch has been officially released in Europe. This model was rumoured earlier this year and has since been spotted at European retailer David et Philly, which pointed to a May 2026 launch in this region.

In countries like the Netherlands, France and Spain, you can now buy the AE-1600HX-3AV watch at the brand’s official online store. As revealed by David et Philly, the RRP for this model is €39.90. Plus, Casio ID members are offered free shipping in two to three business days.

Casio’s AE-1600HX-3AV has a khaki, or olive green, colored resin casing with an octagonal bezel. It comes with an extra-long rally strap, which features side-by-side holes for a more secure fit. The digital model has a large LCD screen, which the company suggests is easy to read. At night, it can be illuminated with an LED light at the push of a button. On the display, users can view the time in two time zones, and tools like a stopwatch, timer and alarms. Other features include a 10 bar water resistance rating and an expected battery life of 10 years.

A second model, the AE-1600HX-1B (black), was listed on Casio’s international website earlier in 2026. It is unclear why this product is not currently available to purchase in Europe. Casio also recently released the AE1600HX-1BV and AE-1600HX-3AV watches in the US, where they retail for $45.95 each. This is the same RRP as older models like the Casio AE1600H-1AV (curr. $36.76 at Amazon).
