OneXPlayer has revealed more details about the OneXPlayer X2 Mini across multiple videos. Shared before releasing the device globally, the new videos highlight that the gaming handheld will feature an innovative touchpad solution that can be used even in docked mode.

A few weeks have passed since OneXPlayer shared new details about its next gaming handheld. To recap, the company confirmed that the OneXPlayer X2 Mini would receive a global release, just like the OneXPlayer Apex before it (curr. $2,299 on Amazon). The similarities between the Apex and X2 Mini do not end there, either.

For instance, both rely upon AMD's Strix Halo platform. Specifically, OneXPlayer plans to sell the X2 Mini with up to the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a 16-core processor with a Radeon 8060S iGPU. Also, the pair are on the larger side, particularly compared to the GPD Win 5 and its 7-inch display.

Previously, the company had confirmed that the X2 Mini would output at 144 Hz with variable refresh rate (VRR) support across its 8.8-inch OLED display. Now, it has clarified that this display will output at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. Hence, it seems that OneXPlayer has sourced the same panel that Lenovo uses inside the Legion Go 2.

The X2 Mini will even offer touchpad controls, too. However, OneXPlayer has integrated its touchpad solution within the X2 Mini's 2.4 GHz wireless controller adapter, rather than on the controller itself. Hence, it will be possible to use the touchpad when gaming on the X2 Mini in docked mode. Unfortunately, it remains unclear when the X2 Mini will be available at this stage, nor how much the new handheld will cost.
