Original Legion Go with Z1 Extreme now costs $1,000 after latest price hike

Lenovo’s handheld lineup is getting more expensive, and the price hikes are now affecting almost every model. Recently, the company increased the price of the Legion Go 2, with the 1TB model going up to around $2,000 and the higher-end version with 2TB of storage reaching $2,849. Soon after, the Legion Go S also saw a jump, crossing the $1,000 mark. Now, it looks like the original Legion Go is the latest device to get hit by a major price increase.
When it first launched, the Lenovo Legion Go with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and 512GB of storage was priced at $699.99. For a long time, it has stayed at this price. However, after a new price hike, the same model is now being sold for $999 on Best Buy. That’s a $300 increase compared to its original launch price, which is a significant jump for a handheld device.
At the moment, Lenovo hasn’t officially explained why the price has gone up so much. However, it’s most likely because of the ongoing memory crisis that has been affecting the tech industry. The cost of important components like RAM and storage has increased a lot, making it harder for manufacturers to keep prices the same. As a result, companies are being forced to raise prices across their products.
