A Legion Go 2 but with AMD Strix Halo: New OLED gaming handheld launching with global release hinted

April is proving to be a rather busy month for One-Netbook. Last week, the company announced the OneXStation and Super V under its OneXPlayer sub-brand. Both available to order globally, OneXStation and Super V feature AMD Strix Halo and Intel Panther Lake processors, respectively.
Now, the company has confirmed that it is returning to AMD's Strix Halo platform with a new OneXPlayer X handheld. To recap, OneNetbook has released multiple OneXPlayer X1, OneXPlayer X1 Air, OneXPlayer X1 Mini and OneXPlayer X1 Pro (curr. $1,399 on Amazon) revisions in the last few years. This time, it has pivoted to the OneXPlayer X2 series, starting with the OneXPlayer X2 Mini.
For context, the OneXPlayer X1 Mini featured the same 8.8-inch display as the Lenovo Legion Go. Seemingly, One-Netbook has pulled a similar move with the OneXPlayer X2 Mini, which contains an 8.8-inch and 144 Hz VRR OLED display like the Legion Go 2. Thus, we suspect that the OneXPlayer X2 Mini will resolve at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with 500 nits peak SDR brightness.
The OneXPlayer X2 Mini aims to surpass its Legion Go 2 counterpart with an 85 Wh battery and a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, though. Compared to the existing OneXFly Apex, the OneXPlayer X2 Mini adds detachable controllers and a small keyboard accessory. Currently, One-Netbook has only teased the OneXPlayer X2 Mini on Chinese social media. However, the company has added the device as a channel on its Discord server. Hence, a global release seems likely at this stage.
