PocketTerm35: Handheld with touchscreen and keyboard comes with Raspberry Pi 5

The PocketTerm35 is a new Raspberry Pi handheld. The PocketTerm35-Pi5 uses the Raspberry Pi 5, specifically the version with just 1GB RAM and a preinstalled 64GB memory card. The PocketTerm35-Pi4, meanwhile, uses the Raspberry Pi 4 with 2GB RAM. Rather than the Compute Module, it uses the standard version of the single-board computer with its usual ports, which is also visible in terms of design.
To be more precise, there is a noticeable bulge behind the display where the single-board computer sits. In that area, the system's thickness increases from about 0.8 to 1.5 inches. In return, standard ports are available, including multiple USB ports and Ethernet. Thanks to an integrated 5,000mAh battery, the device can also be used on the go.
It has a keyboard with six separate rows, so numbers can be entered directly instead of only through a secondary key function. Arrow keys and action buttons are included as well. In principle, that means the PocketTerm35 can also be used for gaming, though the silicone keyboard is unlikely to offer especially crisp feedback. It features a 3.5" touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. Video output is available via HDMI, and audio can also be output through a 3.5mm headphone jack. Waveshare lists the PocketTerm35-Pi5 at $149.
