A new and rather interesting AMOLED display is relatively compact, sports a high resolution and is even flexible. This screen can be used with a wide range of systems as well as SBCs such as the Raspberry Pi 5.

DFRobot is now offering a new and compact display. It is an AMOLED-based panel with a 6.67-inch diagonal, making it relatively compact. The resolution is listed as 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, which should result in sharp image reproduction. This display is particularly tall and has a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display area measures 6.09 x 2.74 inches, while the full module measures 6.4 x 2.93 inches and is just 0.05 inches thick.

The refresh rate is listed as 50Hz, which is obviously not especially high. However, a lower refresh rate is not necessarily a dealbreaker in the maker segment. According to the manufacturer, brightness can reach 450 nits. The panel can be bent without breaking, which means the system could also be suitable for use as a wearable but also as an eye-catcher in smart homes or at trade shows.

According to the manufacturer, the model can be used with various systems, including the Raspberry Pi 5 and LattePanda. The kit already includes a MIPI-to-HDMI board, so image sources can be connected via HDMI without another adapter. The display is powered with 5V. The 6.67-inch Flexible AMOLED Display for LattePanda & Raspberry Pi (2400x1080, 450cd/m², Bendable Screen) is available directly from the manufacturer for $199. Potential buyers should check out the shipping conditions carefully before ordering.
