In recent months, One-Netbook has been gradually bringing its existing products onto AMD's latest Zen 5 silicon. For example, the company has been selling the OneXPlayer X1 Pro with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 since December (curr. $1,199 on Amazon), having only released the original AMD-based OneXPlayer X1 six months earlier. Similarly, the OneXFly F1 Pro built on the OneXFly by adding the same Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU and a more vibrant OLED display.
Now it is the turn of the OneXPlayer X1 Mini with a new model, which One-Netbook brought to Indiegogo over a year ago. This time, One-Netbook has decided to skip its favoured crowdfunding platform altogether and offer the new device directly through its OneXPlayer retail platform. Unlike its recent refreshes, One-Netbook has also decided against re-branding the OneXPlayer X1 Mini with a 'Pro' suffix.
As a result, the device is still known as the OneXPlayer X1 Mini despite the addition of a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. Comparing this year's specifications with last year's reveals that One-Netbook has only swapped out the Ryzen 7 8840U APU. The company does not mention any upgraded cooling either. Consequently, the new OneXPlayer X1 Mini still features an 8.8-inch and 2.5K IPS display that delivers 500 nits peak brightness and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
Likewise, this year's model retains a 65 Wh battery, an M.2 2230/2242 SSD slot and OCuLink connectivity within a 210.6 x 129.2 x 20 mm housing that weighs 710 g. Currently, the new OneXPlayer X1 comes with 2 TB of storage and a choice between 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM for $1,439 and $1,599, respectively. Please note that these prices have allegedly been dropped as introductory offers from $1,599 and $1,759. However, One-Netbook has not offered any indication of when these SKUs will return to their MSRPs. Please see the OneXPlayer website for more details.
