Less than a year after releasing the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, a rumor has surfaced that Asus may unveil a new handheld. The device is expected to make an appearance at Computex 2026 which begins in early June.

It has been over six months since Asus released the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. The two handhelds are the successors to the ROG Ally and ROG Ally X released in 2023 and 2024 respectively, and now, there are rumors that Asus may unveil a new handheld at Computex 2026.

The info comes from the YouTuber, Steam Dad, who mentioned it in a video posted on May 23. According to the video, those who are interested in seeing a next-gen handheld from Asus should keep their eyes on Computex 2026, the computer expo scheduled to begin on June 2 in Taipei.

Based on the video, the source seems to be certain that Asus will have a new handheld gaming PC to show off, and while he probably can't reveal any info, he does say more details should be available in a couple of weeks.

Asus hasn't shared any teaser about a new handheld, but there is the possibility of surprise announcements, since it is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its ROG gaming brand. However, whether this new handheld will be a successor to the ROG Xbox Ally (used like new available on Amazon for $474.99) and the ROG Xbox Ally X remains to be seen.
