Lenovo Legion Go 2 gets another price hike, pushing it to $2,000

The Legion Go 2 was launched back in September last year, with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme variant carrying a $1,350 price tag. However, since its release, the handheld has gone through multiple price increases, and the latest one has pushed it to $2,000.
If you head over to Best Buy, you’ll find the Legion Go 2 listed at $1,999. This is a $150 jump from its previous price of $1,850, and a massive $650 increase compared to its original MSRP of $1,350. At the moment, the device is marked as unavailable on the retailer, and there is no clear information on when it will be back in stock.
Another retailer, B&H, still has the handheld available for $1,849.99. However, this lower price is likely tied to older inventory. Once that stock runs out and new units arrive, the price could increase there as well.
The main reason behind these price hikes is the ongoing memory crisis affecting the tech industry. The cost of key components like RAM and storage has gone up significantly due to high demand from AI data centers, which has made it difficult for manufacturers to maintain stable pricing. As a result, several companies have already increased the prices of their products, while others have delayed upcoming devices until the situation improves.
