First real-world images of the Casio Pro Trek PRW-61D-2 show a cleaner, sharper watch than press renders depicted. The white dial, blue ion bezel, and cyan second hand all land well in person. Global release is set for May 2026, priced around $500.

The new Casio Pro Trek PRW-61D-2 (read our launch article for the watch here) has been showing up in the wild, and the first real-world images of it look pretty impressive.

Official press shots of watches usually tend to flatter, but the PRW-61D-2 looks very much the same when you actually see it in person. The white dial is the biggest win here - it reads much cleaner and crisper than Casio's renders made it look, with the "melting snow" texture being subtle enough that it adds depth without really cluttering the face. The blue ion-plated bezel also carries a slight iridescence in natural light that the product photos don't quite capture, and it frames the white dial well.

Also, the hands are worth calling out too. The cyan second hand is a bolder accent color than expected - it pops distinctly against the white background - while the blue hour and minute hands are darker and more restrained. Together they give the dial more of a layered look rather than a busy one. The sub-dial on the left, with its blue accent ring marking the Temp and Baro zones, is another detail that lands better in person.

The contrast between the black case and white dial is sharper than the press images conveyed - this gives the watch a cleaner silhouette on the wrist.

Casio has confirmed the PRW-61D-2 for global release with a May 2026 rollout, with pricing expected around $500. Based on how it's looking in these early shots, that price point should seem easier to justify.
