Xiaomi releases new affordable smartphone with large battery and 120 Hz display

Xiaomi has now released a new version of the Redmi A7 Pro. For context, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G arrives less than a month after Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi A7 Pro 5G was being prepared for a global introduction. The same is the case for the Redmi A7 too, release details for which we have covered separately.
To recap, Xiaomi bases the Redmi A7 Pro 4G around the Unisoc T7250. A 12 nm chipset, the T7250 also powers the Redmi A5 4G (curr. $97 on Amazon). As we discussed earlier this month, Xiaomi complements this entry-level chipset with a 6,300 mAh battery, a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 6.9-inch IPS display that outputs at 720p and 120 Hz.
Currently, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G is only available in India. Also, Xiaomi has restricted its latest 4G handset to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Allegedly, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G will eventually retail for INR 15,999 (~$169).
In the meantime, Xiaomi is offering the device for INR 11,499 (~$120), which drops its price by 28% in the process. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Redmi A7 Pro 4G will be available in other markets. Please see the company's product page for more details.
