New OnePlus smartphone combines high-end performance with huge battery life for ~$439

OnePlus has now released the Ace 6 Ultra in its home market. At first glance, the smartphone looks like the OnePlus 15R that the company sells globally (curr. $699 on Amazon). However, the pair differ in many crucial areas.
For instance, OnePlus has swapped the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 inside the OnePlus 15R for the Dimensity 9500. According to our benchmarks, this switch alone should result in a healthy performance boost for the Ace 6 Ultra compared to the OnePlus 15R. OnePlus also installs a 16% larger battery that totals 8,600 mAh out of the box.
Not only that, but the Ace 6 Ultra can charge at 120 W. Additionally, the smartphone contains a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 2,772 × 1,272 pixels with 1,800 nits full panel brightness, a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 16 MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the smartphone contains a 50 MP and f/1.8 aperture primary camera that OnePlus complements with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The Ace 6 Ultra starts at CNY 2,999 (~$439) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, OnePlus offers its new handset in multiple memory configurations up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for CNY 4,599 (~$673). The company has launched a new Strix G15 controller too, full details of which we have covered separately.
