OnePlus Ace 7: Next-generation OnePlus phone leaks with powerful chipset

The OnePlus Ace 6 was released as a high-end smartphone in China in October 2025. The key highlights of the phone included a 165Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and IP69K dust and water resistance. Additionally, the phone packed a 7,800mAh battery, even larger than the company's flagship OnePlus 15 (curr. $899 on Amazon).
Now, a prominent tipster, Smart Pikachu on Weibo, has outlined a few early details of the next-generation OnePlus Ace 7. The source reveals that the smartphone may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a flagship processor used in the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra, and more devices. Since the OnePlus Ace 7 is expected to be released in Q4 2026, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series is already likely to be available, which may power the OnePlus 16.
It is tipped that the OnePlus Ace 7 may feature an active cooling system with a built-in fan. In contrast, the recently released OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra uses an external fan solution.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has previously teased an "ultra-high refresh rate" screen for the next-generation OnePlus sub-flagship series, though the exact refresh rate figure remains unknown. Notably, the OnePlus 16's display may achieve up to a 240Hz refresh rate, according to a recent leak.
