Wonders in Your Palm: DJI confirms new global launch event in May 2026

DJI has just released the Mic Mini 2 in more markets after teasing the device's launch earlier this month. While the wireless microphone hardware is now available outside China, DJI has seemingly decided against offering the Mic Mini 2 in the US. At the same time, the company has confirmed that the Mic Mini 2S will be arriving later this year too.

Not content with two announcements in a day, DJI has already shifted to what it has planned for May 2026. As the embedded tweet below shows, the company has scheduled a new global launch event for May 7 at 12:00 UTC. Currently, it has only shared a short video and the teaser 'Wonders in Your Palm', though.

However, the company has reused a teaser that it shared two weeks ago on Chinese social media. Consequently, we suspect that the small device pictured above and below is the remote control sold with the Osmo Mobile 8P. In other words, a new model will be supplanting the Osmo Mobile 8 (curr. $149 on Amazon) in DJI's Osmo Mobile line-up. Please see our launch article for more details about the Osmo Mobile 8P.
