Xiaomi unveils new budget-range smartphone with large 6.9-inch display

Following the launch of the Poco C81 and the C81x in India, Xiaomi has now launched the Poco C81 Pro in the global market. Interestingly, all the C81 models feature the same processor, and the latest addition is no exception. The C81 Pro is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Despite being a budget-range affordable smartphone, the device sports a large 6.9-inch LCD display that resolves at 1600 x 720 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a typical brightness of 650 nits. Upfront, you get an 8 MP snapper for capturing stunning selfies and video chats. Speaking of the rear camera, it comes with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 13 MP primary camera complemented by an auxiliary sensor.
Xiaomi packs a decent amount of battery capacity in its latest affordable offering. To be more precise, Poco equips the C81 Pro with a 6,000 mAh battery that supports only 15 W wired charging (Ugreen 30 W 3-port charger curr. at $13.99 on Amazon). Software-wise, it runs Android 15-based HyperOS 3 out of the box, and unfortunately, there’s no word on its software support from the brand.
The rest of the highlights of the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi, NFC, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Available in green, black, and gold colorways, the Poco C81 Pro starts at $109 for the base 4 GB + 128 GB model, while the 256 GB model is priced at $219. There’s also a 64 GB variant available, which costs around $64.
