DJI releases new Osmo Mobile with compact remote control accessory

DJI has expanded its Osmo Mobile series with a new Pro model. To recap, the company presented the Osmo Mobile 8 in November 2025. Available globally (curr. $126 on Amazon), the Osmo Mobile 8 departs from the older Osmo Mobile 7 in only a few areas. By contrast, the new Osmo Mobile 8P should surpass its non-Pro sibling in multiple areas.
For instance, the built-in tripod now extends 22% further from 67 mm to 82 mm. Also, its unfolding radius has grown by 25% from 77 mm to 97 mm. The Osmo Mobile 8P supports up to 11 mm thick smartphones too, compared to a 10 mm maximum thickness for the Osmo Mobile 7P and Osmo Mobile 8. Not only that, but the Osmo Mobile 8P can project to Android, HarmonyOS and iOS smartphones while retaining Apple Watch screen casting of older models.
Moreover, DJI has added Osmo FrameTap support via its new Multi-Function Tracking Module 2. Complemented by a fill light, the Tracking Module 2 is joined by a magnetic remote control that serves as a viewfinder when attached to the Osmo Mobile 8P. DJI continues to rate its smartphone camera stabiliser for up to 10 hours from a 3,350 mAh (12.06 Wh) battery.
The Osmo Mobile 8P starts at CNY 899 (~$130) in China but costs CNY 1,099 (~$160) with its new tracking module. Alternatively, DJI sells an all-in-one vlog set with microphones and transmitters for CNY 1,299 (~$190). There is no word on international availability yet.
