Motorola is expected to announce its next ultra-premium foldable on April 29. In the meantime, the Razr 70 Ultra has been detailed across dozens of official images. Potentially, the new Razr foldable could be more powerful than the Razr Fold, too.

Motorola has already released one foldable smartphone in April 2026. Offered with big launch discounts and even free tickets to the World Cup in some instances, the Razr Fold goes toe-to-toe with the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and other book-style foldables thanks to a large battery, high-end camera hardware and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

However, the company is not done with new foldable smartphone launches just yet. Instead, it teased last week that new Razr clamshells would be arriving on April 29. Potentially, the Edge 70 Pro will also be joining the Razr 70 series as a more expensive alternative to the existing Edge 70.

For reference, Motorola is rumoured to offer the Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra in North America as the Razr 2026 and Razr Ultra 2026, with a third option called the Razr Plus 2026 too. In the meantime, Evan Blass and Roland Quandt have leaked dozens of pictures that all relate to the Razr 70 Ultra.

Embedded throughout, the images confirm that the Razr 70 Ultra will be available in at least four launch colours. Not only that, but Quandt's first image indicates that the Razr 70 Ultra will be '30% faster' than last year's model (curr. $514 - refurbished on Amazon). In other words, we suspect that the Razr 70 Ultra leverages the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 rather than the older Snapdragon 8 Elite that recent rumours suggested.
