A new report has offered a fresh insight into the state of Vivo's next ultra-premium smartphone release. Launching as the Vivo X Fold6, the foldable is tipped to retain an 'ultra-slim design' while surpassing its predecessor when it comes to battery life.

The Vivo X Fold5 is a few months away from its first birthday. Announced in late June 2025, the X Fold5 made its international debut almost two months later. Nonetheless, rumours about Vivo developing a successor started emerging a few months ago.

Previously, Smart Pikachu alleged that Vivo's next book-style foldable will launch as the X Fold6. Now, Bald Panda has weighed in on X Fold6 rumours, which they also believe is the device's final name. Writing on Weibo, the popular account reiterates that the X Fold6 will join the Find N6 in featuring a 200 MP primary camera.

Not only that, but Bald Panda adds that the X Fold6 contains one of the largest battery capacities for a foldable smartphone. Currently, that record is held by the Honor Magic V6, which features up to a 7,150 mAh battery in China and a 6,600 mAh combined capacity elsewhere. Unfortunately, more details are unknown for now in this regard.

Regardless, getting anywhere near the Magic V6's peak battery capacity would represent between a 10% and 18% upgrade over the X Fold5. The X Fold6 is said to have adopted an 'ultra-slim design' too. Whether that surpasses the Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,649 on Amazon) remains to be seen at this stage. Vivo's choice to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 over the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 may see its next foldable may fall short of its peers when it comes to performance, though.
