Xiaomi launches new smart electric water heater with 60L capacity

Xiaomi’s Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater C 60L is now available to pre-order in China. The new smart home product is marketed as a fast way to get warm water in your bathroom, with energy-saving features.
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater offers 2,200W heating power, and is able to heat water to between 30 and 75°C (86 and 167°F). As its name suggests, this model has a 60L capacity, with Xiaomi indicating that it can generate up to 360L of hot water. This should make it suitable for a family, with hot running water for around 72 minutes.
The product listing for the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater indicates that it supports HyperOS Connect, allowing it to integrate with the brand’s smart home ecosystem. Users can remotely control the device via the brand’s app, where they can set up a schedule, or with voice commands. It is also worth noting that it is listed as a Class 1 energy efficient appliance according to Chinese standards, and measures 740 x 461 x 432 mm (~29.1 x 18.1 x 17.0 inches).
In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater C 60L will retail for CNY 999 (~$146). It seems unlikely that this smart home product will be released in Europe. While the company sells other devices like Robot Vacuum X20+ (curr. €284.99 at Amazon DE) here, it has yet to release a smart water heater in this market.
