Bosch unveils robot vacuum that disappears invisibly in the kitchen

Bosch and Ecovacs have unveiled what they claim is the first vacuum and mopping robot that can be invisibly integrated into a kitchen. While the Dreame X40 Master can already be integrated into a cupboard, it also remains visible in the dock. Not so the new model from Bosch, which disappears into a conventional kitchen cupboard when the robot is docked.
The base station is simply hidden in a cupboard that can be opened for maintenance purposes. This design is not only intended to save space, the integration into the kitchen also makes it easier to connect the robot to water and waste water, so that the water tanks never have to be filled or emptied manually. For maintenance, it is sufficient to replace the 2 liter dust bag as soon as it is full. Optionally, a cleaning solution can be used to better clean floors. The docking station integrated into the kitchen cabinet automatically disinfects the two rotating mop pads with hot air at 75 °C and then dries them with a 45 °C air stream.
With an overall height of 8.4 centimetres, the robot should be able to clean under numerous pieces of furniture. With a suction power of 20,000 Pa, this latest model is more powerful than any previous Bosch robot vacuum. The robot supports AI object recognition, can automatically lift the mop pads 9 millimetres when vacuuming carpets and can climb steps up to 2 centimetres tall. The robot is due to be launched in spring 2026, Bosch has not yet confirmed any details on the price.
