Roborock launches upgraded successor to affordable best-selling robovac

While rival Narwal launched its new flagship model Flow 2 today, Roborock has likewise added a brand-new robot vacuum to its lineup. However, Roborock’s model targets a significantly more affordable price bracket and serves as a follow-up to one of Roborock’s best-selling devices last year.
Already listed on both the official online shop and Amazon, the new Roborock Qrevo S Pro is expected to go live on 27 April. It comes in two colorways and is currently priced at $599, reduced from its original $699.
The Qrevo S Pro succeeds the Roborock QV35AA/QR398, which the company says was an extremely popular model last year. The new all-in-one robot vacuum brings several upgrades, including more than double the suction power of its predecessor at 18,500 Pa.
The Qrevo S Pro continues to employ two standard mops, one of which can extend outwards like a side brush. It features both Roborock’s Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance and PreciSense LiDAR-based navigation system, which is housed in a tower on the robot vacuum’s topside. Measuring roughly 97 mm (3.81 in) thick, the device can climb small steps and ledges up to 2 cm (0.78 in) high.
The docking station cleans the mops – which can rotate at 200 RPM – with water heated to 75°C (167°F) and then dries them with warm air at 45°C (113°F). The dock also empties the robovac’s small internal dust bin into a 2.7 L dust bag, which, according to the manufacturer, needs to be manually replaced about every 65 days.
