Lenovo intros Legion Y960 headset, launching with new gaming tablets

Lenovo is getting ready to hold a notable launch event in China, where the company will introduce two Legion Y900 gaming tablets. It will also be introducing the refreshed Legion gaming phone, which is happening years after the 2022 Y70.
Now, with a new announcement, the company has confirmed that it will also launch a gaming headset at the same event. It's the Legion Y960, and while Lenovo didn't confirm it yet, this appears to be a pair of wireless headphones.
The teaser, however, mentions that it's a "physical 7.1-channel" gaming headset, meaning that Lenovo is focusing on delivering an immersive audio experience. There's mention of "patented six-unit voiceprint perspective," which is likely referring to how well the headphones handle vocals and dialogues.
Other than that, the teaser gives a glimpse of how the gaming headphones look. There's the notable Legion logo on the earcups' housing, and Lenovo also notes that the driver setup comprises one 40mm and two 20mm units.
This picture (attached below) further suggests that there will be plush padding on the earcups, and the headband will feature an adjustable design (comfort-focused Sony WH-1000XM5 curr. $248 on Amazon). Lenovo is expected to share more details about the Legion gaming headphones Y960 before the May 19, 2026, launch.
