Garmin releases new luxury home audio system globally

The Garmin JL Audio Primacy home audio system has been announced worldwide. As a reminder, the JL Audio brand, which specialised in marine audio products, was acquired by Garmin in 2023. Described by the company as a premium offering, the sound system is designed to be used in your living room.
The JL Audio Primacy T6 Active 3-Way Loudspeaker is a tall, tower speaker, while the JL Audio Primacy S3 Active 2-Way Loudspeaker is more compact, designed to fit on a bookshelf. Both products offer digital signal processing (DSP), with a 32-bit/192 kHz audio resolution. Plus, each speaker has one amplifier per driver, and the speakers can be customized with interchangeable panels offered in a range of premium finishes.
The third product in the new range is the JL Audio Primacy CS Stereo Centerpiece. This multifunctional device can act as a preamplifier and a networked streamer, with the Primacy Automatic Room Optimization (P.A.R.O.) feature to optimize the sound for the room. This connects to the Primacy loudspeakers via the Dante Digital Network. Users can stream audio using services like Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. Plus, the device comes with a wireless tabletop remote, with a volume knob and several touch buttons. On top of this, users can remotely control the sound system via the Primacy app.
In the US, the Garmin JL Audio Primacy T6 Active 3-Way Loudspeaker with DSP sells for $90,000 per pair, as reported by Audioholics. The smaller Garmin JL Audio Primacy S3 Active 2-Way Loudspeaker with DSP cost $35,000 per pair, with optional stands priced at $3,500. The Garmin JL Audio Primacy CS Stereo Centerpiece retails for $15,000.
