New Xiaomi Redmi over-ear wireless headphones detailed and launching globally

Xiaomi has been selling wireless earbuds for years now. After launching the Redmi Buds 8, Redmi Buds 8 Active and the Redmi Buds 8 Pro earlier this year, it now seems that Xiaomi is on the verge of returning to the wireless headphone world with the Redmi Headphones Neo.
According to Diglex Electronics and Lazada, the Redmi Headphones Neo feature 40 mm titanium-coated drivers that deliver 20 Hz-40 kHz frequency response. Also, the headphones are said to offer up to 42 dB of active noise cancellation (ANC), Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and up to 72 hours of battery life when ANC is disabled.
Xiaomi will initially release the Redmi Headphones Neo in Obsidian Black and Sand White colours. As the images below show, Lazada has priced the Redmi Headphones Neo at PHP 3,299 (~$55) in the Philippines, discounted from PHP 4,299 (~$70). Meanwhile, Diglex Electronics has listed the same headphones for $36.70 but with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces.
In other words, exact pricing remains unknown for now. Nonetheless, these retail listings indicate that Xiaomi's new pair of over-ear headphones will be a budget affair rather than an alternative to high-end models like the WH-1000XM6 (curr. $428 on Amazon).
Likewise, it is unclear when Xiaomi will officially unveil the Redmi Headphones Neo. However, both retailers claim that a Mist Blue variant will be released later in September 2026. Hence, we suspect that Obsidian Black and Sand White models will debut within the next few months at the latest.
