Sony releases new accessory for WF-1000XM6 earbuds with international release hinted
Sony is expected to update its 1000X series later this month with 1000XX The ColleXion. Also, the company is rumoured to be updating the WH-1000XM6 with a new colour option. In the meantime, it has expanded upon the WF-1000XM6 with a new accessory.
To recap, Sony launched the WF-1000XM6 in February with a choice between Black and Platinum Silver finishes (curr. $328 on Amazon). For some reason, the company has waited over three months to complement its earbuds with an official protective cover.
Setting that aside, the Case Cover for WF-1000XM6 Earbuds comes in two parts, each with a vegan leather design. According to Sony, the case does not interfere with wireless charging. The company has included a cut-out for the charging case's front-facing LED too.
For the time being, Sony's Case Cover accessory is only available in the US for $39.99 before taxes. With that being said, the company has listed its Case Cover in Taiwan and the UK. Hence, an international release seems likely. However, this is unlikely to occur before US pre-orders begin shipping on May 19 or May 20. Please see the company's website for more details.
