Glorious launches GHS Wireless InfinitePlay gaming headset with zero downtime

Glorious introduced its InfinitePlay battery system with the Model D3 Wireless and is now expanding that tech to headphones. With the GHS Wireless InfinitePlay Audio Headset, the company joins SteelSeries and Turtle Beach in the hot-swappable gaming headset pool. But it takes things a step further, just like its Model D3 Wireless mouse with no downtime.

Following the design of the GHS Eternal headset, the GHS Wireless adds not just a slot for a battery but also an internal Guardian battery. This allows zero downtime, even when swapping batteries. In our review of the Model D3 Wireless mouse, we found that this system works pretty well, and the mouse was able to auto-switch to the internal battery when the hot-swappable one was disconnected, and vice versa.

Glorious says each swappable battery delivers up to 85 hours of playtime, but it doesn’t specify how long the Guardian battery can keep it going. It also doesn’t specify if this is 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth runtime. The GHS Wireless InfinitePlay uses the same 40mm drivers as the Eternal, but the mic design has been tweaked a little. It is still detachable and supports noise cancellation.

Just like the Eternal, the GHS Wireless InfinitePlay uses memory foam ear pads with a suspension headband, and everything can be controlled through the different dials and buttons on the earcups. The weight, as expected, has gone up a bit compared to the Eternal, and it now sits at 280 grams vs 255 grams. It is compatible with PC, PS, Switch, and mobile.

The GHS Wireless InfinitePlay headset is priced at $230 and is available via the website, as well as Amazon, in black and white. For reference, the GHS Eternal headset is priced at $60 for the standard and $90 for the RGB version.
