Oppo Pad 5 Pro Review
A full day of browsing on a super‑thin 13.2‑inch tablet? No problem for the Oppo Pad 5 Pro. In our review, the premium tablet lasted twice as long as both the iPad Air 13 and the iPad Pro. And the big Oppo tablet has even more to offer when it comes to battery performance.

The Oppo Pad 5 Pro impressed us in our review when it comes to battery life, as hardly any other tablet combines an extra-large display with such long battery life. With a capacity of 13,380 mAh, the Pad 5 Pro ranks among the tablets with the largest battery capacities among Android tablets. Coupled with the high efficiency recorded in our power consumption measurements, this results in a fantastic score in our battery test.

Despite its slim aluminum unibody design, the Oppo tablet achieves a record-breaking runtime in our Wi-Fi test. For this test, we use the Pad 5 Pro with Wi-Fi enabled and the display brightness adjusted to a standardized 150 cd/m² to ensure comparability with other devices. For the battery test, we run an automated script that loads a mix of different websites every 30 seconds.

In our review, the Pad 5 Pro achieved a runtime of over 25 hours, a value that completely outclasses its competitors in the premium tablet segment (prices start at around $800 on Trading Shenzhen). By comparison, an Apple iPad Pro 13 lasts less than half as long, and the same applies to the current iPad Air 13 with the Apple M4 chipset. Both Apple devices manage a runtime of only about 12.5 hours.

Android tablet with the best battery life and fast charging

But the Pad 5 Pro doesn’t shine only in battery life. Despite its enormous battery capacity, the Oppo tablet fully charges in about 90 minutes using a 67-watt charger. To put this in comparsion, in our recently review, the current Sony flagship took a similar amount of time to fully charge its 5,000-mAh battery.

For users who are frequently on the go, this offers a clear advantage thanks to its very long battery life and relatively short charging time. Anyone who works long hours on an Android tablet or is looking for a long-lasting device with an XXL display for travel will find the Pad 5 Pro to be a powerful and affordable alternative to an iPad Pro 13.

However, prospective buyers should definitely check out our review before making a purchase. After all, the availability of alternatives on the tablet market makes it difficult to recommend the Oppo tablet.
