Epomaker launches $50 gaming headsets with up to 70 hours of battery and customizable RGB lighting

Epomaker, a brand primarily known for its mechanical keyboards, has officially entered the gaming audio market with the launch of its first headset, the Epomaker GX1. The announcement marks a significant expansion of the company's peripheral lineup as it moves to offer a more complete hardware ecosystem for PC gamers.

Priced at $49.99, the Epomaker GX1 features an open-back design equipped with 50mm dynamic drivers. The headset delivers virtual 7.1 surround sound and incorporates an adjustable 7-level headband to accommodate different users. It weighs approximately 320 grams and includes customizable RGB lighting on the earcups.

For communication, the GX1 uses a dual microphone setup that features a built-in microphone alongside a detachable external boom mic equipped with environmental noise canceling technology to ensure clear voice transmission.

Users can connect the headset using Bluetooth, a wired USB-C to 3.5mm or USB-A connection, or a dedicated 2.4GHz wireless dongle that provides an ultra-low latency of 25 milliseconds. Powering the wireless modes is a built-in 2000mAh battery. Epomaker notes the headset can work for up to 30 hours with the RGB lighting turned on and extends up to 70 hours with the lighting disabled. The device also supports a charge-and-play function, allowing users to replenish the battery during extended gaming sessions.
