Gaming enthusiasts with a knack for sports cars will be pleased to note that Sennheiser has announced a multi-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG. The first product as a result of this collaborative effort has already been announced, and it definitely looks quite appealing.

At the recently held Gamescom 2026 conference, the famous and well-respected OEM Sennheiser announced a multi-year collaborative effort with Mercedes-AMG. This partnership is expected to result in a bunch of co-branded products which are likely to be particularly appealing to gamers as well as other consumers with a knack for motorsports.

The first product to emerge from the partnership happens to be a new variant of the very popular Sennheiser HD 620S wired headset. From the outside, there appears to be no major design overhaul, which is to be expected considering that Sennheiser has stuck with the 620S branding.

However, there are a few clear visual differences on the exterior, with the HD 620S Mercedes-AMG edition featuring a bunch of rather sporty red accents on the ear cups. The visible part of the headband extension joint will also feature a red accent, with a bold Mercedes-AMG branding in grey at the top of the headband.

The new variant of the Sennheiser HD 620S headset features red accents all over.

The brand's official press release does not detail any hardware changes or refinements. Therefore, it is quite likely that the internals and overall performance of the headset will be identical to the vanilla variant, with its sound profile remaining unmistakably HD 620S (currently $385 on Amazon).

The above fact may or may not be a good thing, depending on who you ask. The closed-back HD 620S with 42 mm drivers is very comfortable to wear, although its sound profile right out of the box may not appease everyone and might require EQ adjustments in order to sound better.

That said, for most people, the headphones are likely to sound perfectly acceptable for the most part.

The Sennheiser HD 620S Mercedes-AMG Edition features a built-in HD 500 boom arm mic.

Gamers are also likely to appreciate the included HD 500 boom arm mic for audio input.

Sennheiser has revealed that the HD 620S AMG edition will retail at around €399 (roughly $465) and will begin reaching customers sometime in November of this year.
