Leaks have revealed Sony's plans for its next pair of over-ear headphones. Targeted at gamers, the Inzone H6 Air will sport an open-back design while retaining headset functionality too.

Earlier this year, Sony expanded its 1000X series with the long-awaited WF-1000XM6. About six months earlier, the company launched the Inzone H9 II with audio quality designed to match the WH-1000XM6 (curr. $398 on Amazon). According to billbil-kun, Sony will soon return to its Inzone brand with a new headphone release.

Writing on Dealabs, the leaker reports that the Inzone H6 Air is almost upon us with a release date occurring later this month. Specifically, billbil-kun reports the Inzone H6 Air will arrive on April 14. Deliveries are not expected to occur until a few days after that date, though.

Reportedly, Sony will charge $199.99 for the Inzone H6 Air in the US. The headphones have already been spotted at one Australian retailer. Full hardware specifications remain unknown for now. However, billbil-kun expects the Inzone H6 Air to be open-back headphones without Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz connectivity options. Instead, Sony may limit the Inzone H6 Air to only a wired connection. The Inzone H6 Air is expected to launch alongside refreshed Inzone Buds, too.
