Details of new Sony wireless over-ear headphones leak with pricing and release date revealed

Sony is expected to release a new pair of over-ear headphones this month aimed at gamers. Currently, the company is rumoured to have set an April 14 launch date for the Inzone H6 Air. According to billbil-kun, Sony also has more consumer-grade audio equipment in the pipeline.

Writing on Dealabs, the leaker reports that Sony intends to release 'The ColleXion' too. For context, the company trademarked that branding almost a year ago in Canada and Japan. At the time, it appeared that The ColleXion could be a collection of headphones or earphones under the existing 1000X series.

Reportedly, that will not be the case. Instead, billbil-kun asserts that Sony will offer the device simply as The ColleXion. A pair of over-ear wireless headphones, billbil-kun adds that The ColleXion will arrive in a black finish, potentially as a collector's or limited-edition item.

To that end, billbil-kun believes that The ColleXion will launch for €629. A 40% uplift over the WH-1000XM6 (curr. $459 on Amazon) in the Eurozone, this pricing may correlate with $639 US pricing. The ColleXion is slated to launch globally on May 19.
