The ColleXion: More known about Sony's more premium alternative to WH-1000XM6 over-ear wireless headphones

Hardly any time has passed since billbil-kun about The ColleXion. A new pair of over-ear headphones, The ColleXion was first spotted in August 2025. At the time, The ColleXion appeared to be associated with the 1000X series.

However, billbil-kun's latest leak reiterates that The ColleXion will be set apart from the WH-1000XM6 and other recent 1000X releases like the WF-1000XM6 (curr. $328 on Amazon). Writing on Dealabs, the leaker now states that Sony intends to sell The ColleXion in a white finish, as well as the black finish that was mentioned initially.

Not only that, but billbil-kun claims to have received confirmation that the headphones will support active noise cancellation (ANC). Currently, the same leaker maintains that The ColleXion will launch globally on May 19 at €629 (~$639). The inclusion of a second colour indicates that The ColleXion may not be as limited as first believed.

Also, the speed with which billbil-kun has received new information suggests that we may see more substantial The ColleXion leaks soon. Like last year, we may see Sony launching a new pair of over-ear wireless headphones around the time it introduces an updated Xperia 1 smartphones too.
