Soundcore Space 2: New ANC over-ears delivers upgraded battery life for $129.99

Anker recently launched the Space 2 under its Soundcore audio brand. This pair of over-ear headphones succeeds the original Space One, which was released in 2023 and, according to the company, sold very well as a wallet-friendly model.
Listed at $129.99, the Soundcore Space 2 is slightly more expensive than its predecessor, which was priced at around $100. Even so, it remains in the affordable price bracket and is now available directly from the official store and from retailers like Amazon in three colorways: Seafoam Green, Linen White and Jet Black.
Like the Soundcore Space One, the Space 2 is also equipped with active noise cancellation (ANC). Anker Soundcore says the four-stage ANC system focuses on reducing low-frequency noises, such as those encountered on buses, trains and planes. A transparency mode is also available for situations where the user needs to hear their surroundings.
The Soundcore Space 2 uses 40 mm double-layer diaphragm drivers for audio reproduction. It supports Hi-Res Audio in wired mode and the LDAC codec in wireless mode. There is also a built-in AI-powered system with three microphones for handling calls and voice capture.
Weighing 264 g (9.31 oz), the Space 2 features wear detection and supports pairing with two devices. On top of that, it offers longer battery life than its predecessor, lasting up to 70 hours without ANC and up to 50 hours with ANC enabled. Other notable features include ear cushions made of protein leather and memory foam, as well as a Nap Mode that plays relaxing sound effects.
