New information about Sony's next pair of high-end wireless headphones have emerged online. Discovered by The Walkman Blog, the details indicate that the company is on the verge of complementing the WH-1000XM6 with a new model (curr. $428 on Amazon).

Specifically, Sony's Australian and New Zealand websites were spotted listing 1000X The Collexion placeholders before quickly removing them. Nonetheless, The Walkman Blog managed to grab a screenshot that includes the following alt-text image description:

Based on previous rumours, The ColleXion will be available in a black finish too. Additionally, The Walkman Blog reports that Sony's model number for The ColleXion is 'WH-1000XX'. As a result, it seems that these headphones will represent a special 10th anniversary release for Sony's 1000X series.

Moreover, the teaser tagline 'Master the art of listening' suggests that these headphones will surpass the existing WH-1000XM6 in terms of audio quality at the very least. Full details remain unknown for now, though. Currently, Sony is expected to announce The ColleXion on May 19 for €629 (~$629).
